Project Roscoe
Roscoe is SSNS’s core technology program: an autonomous, passive celestial navigation system. Unlike traditional celestial navigation or satellite-based positioning, Roscoe determines position and time using only observations of celestial bodies. Development is proceeding through staged hardware builds, from bench prototype toward sea trials, alongside custom sky-alignment and time-recovery software written in-house.
